DEITY FLAT TRAK PEDAL
The Low-Profile Benchmark for Uncompromising Grip.
The DEITY Flat Trak is a premium, large-platform flat pedal designed for the rigors of aggressive trail, enduro, and downhill riding. While many pedals trade thickness for durability, the Flat Trak achieves a remarkably thin 14mm profile without sacrificing the robust internal architecture DEITY is known for. This ultra-thin design doesn't just look sleek; it lowers your center of gravity and significantly reduces "pedal flip" and rock strikes on the technical, chunky terrain often found in the Perth Hills.
Precision-machined from a solid block of 6061-T6 aluminum, the Flat Trak features a symmetrical, non-offset profile that provides a massive 110mm x 100mm contact patch. This "footprint" ensures that even riders with larger feet or heavy-duty Five Ten-style shoes have a stable, supportive platform. With its signature concave feel and a proprietary internal bearing system, the Flat Trak is engineered to be a "fit and forget" component for riders who demand maximum mechanical traction.
Key Performance Technologies
Ultra-Thin 14mm Profile: One of the thinnest pedals on the market, providing increased ground clearance and a more connected feel to the bike’s kinematics.
Large 110mm x 100mm Platform: Offers a wide, supportive base that minimizes foot fatigue and provides a consistent "target" when re-planting your feet after a dab.
Top-Loading Traction Pins: Features 10 replaceable pins per side. The top-loading design means that even if a pin head is smashed against a rock, you can still easily remove it from the top with an Allen key.
Dual Bearing / Micro-Bushing Internals: Utilizes a high-grade sealed bearing and a specialized micro-bushing system that is fully rebuildable, ensuring smooth rotation for years of abuse.
Concave Architecture: The body is slightly "hollowed" toward the center, allowing your shoe to settle into the pedal for a "locked-in" feel that mimics the security of clipless pedals.
Heat-Treated Chromoly Spindle: Provides exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and is resistant to bending under high-impact landings.

✅ Why This IS For You
The Technical Trail Rider: If you ride in rocky or "rooty" terrain where every millimeter of ground clearance helps avoid a high-speed pedal strike.
Riders Seeking "Locked-In" Grip: The combination of the concave body and aggressive pins makes this one of the grippiest pedals available, perfect for those who don't want their feet moving an inch.
Custom Bike Builders: Available in DEITY’s full range of high-voltage anodised colours, allowing you to perfectly match your pedals to your hubs, stems, or frame accents.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
The Casual Commuter: The pins on the Flat Trak are extremely sharp and aggressive; they will quickly tear through standard sneakers or dress shoes.
Dirt Jumpers/Slopestyle: Some jumpers prefer a thicker, more "square" pedal for easier foot-repositioning in mid-air; the extreme grip of the Flat Trak can sometimes make it harder to "shuffled" your foot once planted.
BFC Pro Tip
The DEITY Flat Trak comes with a set of shims/washers for the traction pins. If you find the grip too aggressive (to the point where you can't adjust your foot position), you can add the washers to shorten the effective height of the pins. Conversely, for maximum "velcro" grip in muddy winter conditions, run them without the washers. Also, because the spindle is chromoly and the crank arm is usually aluminum, always use a thin layer of waterproof grease on the threads to prevent "galvanic corrosion"—this ensures you can actually get the pedals off in a year's time!
