III PRO E4 HYDRAULIC BRAKE SET
The IIIPRO E4 (also known as the Meroca IIIPRO E4) is a pro-level hydraulic brake system engineered for riders who demand uncompromising control and massive stopping power. Unlike the standard 2-piston E2 model, the E4 utilizes 4 large pistons to generate significant linear braking force—rated at approximately 641N for the front and 516N for the rear in dry conditions. This makes it an ideal upgrade for mountain bikers tackling technical singletrack, enduro descents, or high-speed e-bike commuting where heat management and raw clamping force are essential.
Crafted from a magnesium-aluminum alloy, the E4 manages to deliver this heavy-duty performance while remaining remarkably lightweight at approximately 475g per set. The system features CNC-machined calipers and levers with bearing pivots for a smooth, ergonomic feel, ensuring that pro-level control is available at your fingertips even during the most intense rides.
Key Performance Features
4-Piston Caliper System: Generates high braking force (up to 641N) to provide confident stopping power for heavy bikes or aggressive downhill terrain.
CNC-Machined Construction: The magnesium-aluminum alloy components are precision-machined for a high strength-to-weight ratio and a premium aesthetic.
Heat Management: Utilizes copper-ceramic pads often paired with cooling fins to significantly reduce brake fade during long, steep descents.
TUV Certified Safety: German TUV-certified engineering ensures the system meets rigorous safety standards for consistent wet and dry performance.
Ergonomic Adjustability: Levers feature bearing pivots for reduced friction and reach adjustment (via 2mm hex key) to accommodate different hand sizes and glove thicknesses.
Versatile Compatibility: Designed for a wide range of disciplines including MTB, Downhill (DH), and E-Bikes.

✅ Why This IS For You
Enduro & Downhill Enthusiasts: The 4-piston design offers the superior heat dissipation and power needed for high-speed gravity riding.
E-Bike Owners: The increased mass of an e-bike requires the high braking force (641N) that the E4 provides to ensure safe, controlled stops.
Weight-Conscious Shredders: At 475g, this set provides 4-piston power without significantly weighing down your cockpit.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Casual XC or City Commuters: If your riding is limited to flat paths or light trails, the extra power of a 4-piston system might be overkill; the 2-piston E2 model is lighter and simpler to maintain.
Ultra-Budget Projects: While highly competitive, the E4 carries a price premium over basic 2-piston hydraulic sets.
BFC Pro Tip
Because the E4 uses four pistons, keeping them clean is vital for consistent performance. During pad changes, use a bit of mineral oil on a cotton swab to clean the piston sides before pushing them back into the caliper. This prevents grit from damaging the seals. Given the pro-level power of these brakes, we highly recommend pairing them with 180mm or 203mm rotors to take full advantage of the 641N braking force. Always ensure you follow a proper bed-in procedure to marry the copper-ceramic pads to your rotors for silent, maximum-power operation!
