FOX SPEEDFRAME MIPS HELMET TWILIGHT
The Versatile Trail Icon in a Deep, Modern Hue.
The Fox Speedframe MIPS remains one of the most respected open-face helmets in the mountain bike world, praised for its "do-it-all" nature. This Twilight edition introduces a deep, sophisticated navy-blue finish that provides a sleek alternative to standard black or grey. It’s a colourway that looks at home on both sun-drenched coastal trails and under the dense canopy of a damp forest, maintaining its premium look even when coated in a fine layer of trail dust.
Safety is the cornerstone of the Speedframe's design. It features the integrated MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System), a low-friction layer located between the helmet's padding and the EPS foam. This system is engineered to allow the helmet to slide slightly during an impact, significantly reducing the rotational forces transmitted to the brain—a critical feature for the unpredictable "over-the-bars" moments that can happen on technical singletrack.
Key Features
MIPS™ Rotational Protection: Built-in slip-plane technology designed to reduce rotational motion by redirecting energies during an angled impact.
Deep-Coverage Profile: Specifically shaped to provide extra protection at the temples and the back of the head, areas often left exposed by traditional cross-country helmets.
3-Position Adjustable Visor: Goggle-compatible design that allows you to stow your goggles on the forehead during long, hot climbs.
360° Fit System: A comprehensive retention dial that provides a snug, uniform fit around the entire circumference of the head, preventing the helmet from rocking.
Optimised Big-Bore Venting: Features large front intake ports and internal channels that maximise airflow, keeping you cool during slow, technical ascents.
Moisture-Wicking Liner: A plush, removable, and washable liner that pulls sweat away from the eyes, ensuring a clear view of the trail ahead.

✅ Why This IS For You
The "All-Mountain" Rider: If you need a single helmet that is light enough for 30km XC loops but robust enough for black-diamond descents.
Goggle & Sunnie Users: Perfect for riders who frequently switch between eyewear; the visor height and front vent shapes are specifically designed to accommodate both.
Style-Focused Trail Riders: Ideal if you want a classic, high-performance lid in a unique, understated colour that isn't the standard matte black.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Gravity & DH Specialists: For riders exclusively hitting high-speed bike parks or steep downhill tracks, a full-face helmet like the Fox Rampage is the required standard for jaw protection.
The "Weight Weenie" XC Racer: If every gram counts on the climbs, a minimalist, highly-vented XC lid like the Lazer Tonic KinetiCore will be noticeably lighter.
BFC Pro Tip
The Fox Speedframe is known for its excellent out-of-the-box comfort, but for the best fit, we recommend adjusting the rear cradle height. There are several vertical snap-points inside the helmet; adjusting these ensures the retention dial sits perfectly against the base of your skull, preventing the helmet from tilting forward into your vision. To keep that deep Twilight finish looking its best, avoid leaving it on the dashboard of your car in the WA sun, as extreme UV exposure can eventually degrade the outer polycarbonate shell and fade the rich blue colour!
