HOLY RAIL DUAL CAGE KIT
The Lyne Components Holy Rail Dual Cage Kit is the ultimate cockpit and frame solution for marathon mountain bikers, gravel racers, and bikepackers who want to ditch the heavy hydration backpack without sacrificing critical water storage. Traditional bike frames restrict you to a single bottle cage inside the front triangle, limiting your fluid capacity on hot, remote, or long-distance endurance loops. The Holy Rail breaks through this design ceiling by acting as a highly customizable, linear-track master rail that secures directly to your bike's existing down tube or seat tube bottle bosses.
Constructed from premium, CNC-machined 6061 aluminium, the 260mm rail utilizes a unique sliding track configuration running standard M5 threaded nuts. This architecture allows you to easily slide, reposition, and optimize the location of your accessories to perfectly match the internal clearance of your specific frame geometry. The Dual Cage Kit includes a specialized adapter plate that offsets the mounting positions, arranging one bottle in an upright stance and the second parallel to the down tube. To ensure you can actually extract your drinks from tight frame spaces, the kit comes bundled with two tough, nylon side-entry bottle cages. An integrated rubber backing skirt lines the underside of the alloy rail, serving a dual purpose: it acts as a non-marring protective barrier against frame chafing and creates an airtight seal that prevents grinding trail grit from collecting beneath the bracket.
Key Features
Dual-Bottle Carrying Capacity: Converts a single set of factory frame mounts into a dual-cage setup, doubling your fluid carrying potential.
6061 Alloy Modular Track: Engineered from lightweight extruded aluminum with adjustable M5 slide nuts for infinitely adjustable accessory positioning.
Side-Entry Cages Included: Supplied with two durable side-loading nylon cages to allow quick, easy bottle deployment inside constrained front triangles.
Protective Rubber Skirt: Features an integrated rubber base lining that prevents metal-on-frame friction while sealing out mud and trail grime.
Universal M5 Standards: Employs industry-standard M5 x 0.8 hardware thread pitches, making the rail fully cross-compatible with your existing pumps or cages.
Modular Expansion Ecosystem: Serves as a base platform capable of adapting to Lyne storage boxes, tool mounts, and strap kits as your gear needs evolve.

✅ Why This IS For You
Train for Marathon and Epic Races: Perfect for endurance events like the Cape Epic or local back-country marathons where maximum on-bike fluid capacity is mandatory.
Hate Wearing Hydration Packs: Ideal for riders who experience back fatigue or sweaty jerseys from backpacks and want to shift all weight directly onto the bicycle frame.
Ride a Large-Triangle Frame: Excellent for hardtails, gravel rigs, and large-sized dual-suspension frames where there is abundant open workspace inside the front triangle.
Want an Adaptable Storage System: Great if you love tweaking your bike setup; the adjustable track lets you shift your bottles to make room for frame bags or pumps.
Need Easy Bottle Access: The bundled side-loading cages mean you can swiftly pull your bottles out at an angle rather than wrestling them vertically against the top tube.
❌ Why This May NOT Be For You
Ride a Small or Tight Full-Suspension Frame: If you ride a small frame size or a dual-suspension bike with a massive, intrusive rear shock layout, you will struggle with physical bottle clearance.
Weight-Weenie Minimalist Racer: If saving every single gram is your highest priority, adding a 170g metal track and dual-adapter system might be too heavy for your build.
Only Run Large 750ml+ Bottles: Smaller bike frames using this kit are often physically constrained to running compact 500ml or 600ml bidons to prevent the bottles from contacting the frame tubes.
BFC PRO TIP
When setting up your Holy Rail for the first time, don't tighten down the main frame anchor bolts completely right away. Instead, loosely assemble the rail, the dual adapter plate, and your water bottles first. Insert your actual bottles into the cages and physically cycle your rear suspension (if you ride a dually) by deflating the rear shock to check full compression clearance. Once you have slid the track into the exact position where the bottles clear both your top tube and your suspension linkages at maximum travel, lock all the high-quality M5 fasteners down securely to prevent any trail vibrations from shifting your hard work!
