III PRO E2 HYDRAULIC BRAKE SET
The IIIPRO E2 is a high-performance hydraulic disc brake set designed to provide smooth, consistent stopping power for mountain bikes. Positioned as a versatile 2-piston system, the E2 is engineered for riders who need a reliable alternative to entry-level stock brakes, offering a significant step up in tactile feel and modulation. Built by Meroca under the IIIPRO performance line, these brakes utilize a high-pressure oil system to maintain consistent lever pressure, ensuring your braking performance remains reliable even during technical descents.
Unlike more aggressive 4-piston gravity brakes, the E2 focuses on precision and control for cross-country and light trail riding. The 2-piston caliper design provides superior braking control without the added weight or complexity of larger systems, making it an excellent choice for riders looking to balance performance with a clean, lightweight cockpit.
Key Performance Features
2-Piston Caliper Design: Delivers balanced braking force and superior modulation, allowing for precise speed control on varying terrain.
High-Pressure Mineral Oil System: Engineered to maintain consistent pressure within the lines, preventing the "spongy" feel often found in lower-grade mechanical or entry-level hydraulic sets.
Universal MTB Compatibility: Comes with standard 800mm (front) and 1550mm (rear) hose lengths, making it a drop-in replacement for the vast majority of mountain bike frames and fork standards.
Ergonomic Lever Blade: Designed for comfortable one- or two-finger braking, providing a responsive interface that reduces hand fatigue during long rides.
Durable Build Quality: Constructed from robust alloys designed to withstand the typical impacts and environmental stresses of trail riding while maintaining a polished aesthetic.

✅ Why This IS For You
XC and Light Trail Riders: If you spend your time on flowing singletrack or climbing-heavy routes, the E2 provides ample power without the weight penalty of a 4-piston setup.
Budget-Conscious Upgraders: A perfect replacement for mechanical disc brakes or basic Shimano MT200/MT201 systems, offering a more premium feel and better aesthetics.
Simplicity Seekers: The 2-piston design is easier to bleed and maintain than more complex systems, making it ideal for home mechanics.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Enduro and DH Riders: For aggressive downhill riding or bike park laps, you will likely find the 2-piston system underpowered. In these cases, the IIIPRO E4 4-piston set is a better choice for maximum heat management and raw stopping force.
Heavy E-Bikes: While functional, the higher mass of an e-bike often benefits from the increased pad surface area and clamping force of a 4-piston brake.
BFC Pro Tip
When installing your IIIPRO E2 set, pay close attention to the hose routing. If you need to shorten the 1550mm rear hose for a smaller frame, always use a fresh olive and barb to ensure a leak-proof seal. After installation, perform a proper "bed-in" procedure: find a safe, flat area and perform 10–15 controlled stops from moderate speed without locking the wheels. This transfers a thin layer of pad material to the rotor, which is essential for achieving the full stopping power and silent operation these brakes are capable of!
