The Santini Shield Neo is a high-performance winter glove designed for riders who don't let wind, rain, or near-freezing temperatures cut their season short. Engineered with a multi-layer approach to protection, these gloves bridge the gap between a bulky "lobster" mitt and a standard thermal glove. They provide the dexterity needed for precise shifting and braking while offering a formidable barrier against the elements.
The standout feature is the integration of Neoprene and windproof membranes, creating a "shield" that maintains a stable micro-climate for your fingers. Unlike standard fleece gloves that can become saturated and heavy, the Shield Neo is designed to shed water and block the piercing wind chill often encountered on long descents or during misty morning sessions.
Windproof & Water-Resistant Shell: Constructed with a technical outer layer that prevents cold air from stripping heat from your hands while resisting road spray and light rain.
Thermo-Fleece Lining: The interior is lined with a soft, brushed thermal fabric that traps body heat and provides an immediate sensation of warmth the moment you put them on.
High-Grip Palm: Features a strategically placed anti-slip silicone print across the palm and fingers, ensuring a secure hold on the bars and levers, even in soaking wet conditions.
Extended Neoprene Cuff: Designed with an elongated, snug-fitting cuff that slides perfectly under the sleeves of your Santini Adapt Jacket, creating a seamless weather seal at the wrist.
Touch-Screen Compatible: Includes conductive inserts on the thumb and index finger, allowing you to operate your Garmin or smartphone without exposing your skin to the freezing air.
Vibration Dampening: Subtle padding in key pressure zones helps to absorb road buzz, reducing hand fatigue during long winter base-miles.

The All-Weather Commuter: If you ride regardless of the forecast, the water-resistant shell and deep-winter warmth are essential for safe and comfortable transit.
Technical Descenters: Perfect for riders who need maximum tactile feedback for braking on technical descents but still require protection from biting wind chill.
Early Morning Training: Ideal for those 5:00 AM starts when the dew is heavy and the air is at its coldest.
Mild Spring Riding: For temperatures consistently above 12°C, these may be too warm, leading to sweaty palms. A lighter, long-finger glove would be more breathable in those conditions.
Sub-Zero Arctic Expeditions: While highly protective down to freezing, for temperatures consistently below -5°C, a dedicated "deep-winter" insulated mitten might be required for riders prone to extremely cold extremities.
To keep your Shield Neo gloves performing at their peak, never dry them directly on a heater or radiator—the high heat can damage the Neoprene cuff and the windproof membrane. For the best "weather-seal" setup, always put your gloves on first, then pull your jacket sleeves down over the extended cuffs. This ensures that any rain running down your arms goes over the glove rather than inside it. If the touchscreen pads become less responsive over time, a quick wipe with a damp cloth to remove road salt and grime usually restores their sensitivity!
