Designed to assist young riders as they transition from balance bikes to pedals, these training wheels provide the rock-solid stability needed to eliminate the fear of tipping over. By keeping the bicycle upright, they allow children to focus entirely on mastering their pedalling cadence, steering, and braking skills at their own comfortable pace.
Constructed with durable steel support arms and hard-wearing plastic wheels, this kit is built to withstand the bumps, scrapes, and knocks of backyard and driveway practice sessions. The straightforward design mounts directly to the frame's rear dropouts, ensuring a secure fitment that won't slip out of alignment while in use.

Why This IS For You
✅ Perfect Fit for SCOTT Junior Bikes: Tailored specifically to integrate seamlessly with 14" and 16" SCOTT Roxter and Contessa frames from 2019 onwards.
✅ Boosts Riding Confidence: Provides stable, reliable support that helps young children overcome the fear of falling while mastering pedalling basics.
✅ Hard-Wearing Durable Build: The combination of tough steel arms and rugged plastic tyres ensures they survive plenty of sidewalk kilometres.
Why This May NOT Be For You
❌ Not Universally Compatible: Designed specifically for specific SCOTT children's models; they may not fit other bike brands or older model years.
❌ Non-Pneumatic Tyres: The wheels use solid plastic rather than air-filled rubber tyres, meaning less cushioning on incredibly rough terrain.
❌ Limits Natural Balance Progression: If your child is already proficient on a balance bike, moving straight to a two-wheel pedal bike might be faster than using stabilisers.
BFC PRO TIP
When installing these training wheels, don't set them completely flush with the ground on both sides. Leave a slight 5–10mm gap on either side so the bike can lean just a fraction. This small amount of wiggle room forces your child to instinctively practice their own natural balance while still having a solid safety net there to catch them!
