TREK LINE COMP PEDALS
The Trek Line Comp Flat Pedals are the ultimate set-and-forget upgrade for riders seeking a balance of versatility, durability, and value. Engineered to tackle everything from technical singletrack descent to the daily urban grind, these platform pedals utilize a proven concave profile that naturally cradles your foot for enhanced stability. By utilizing a high-strength nylon composite resin rather than alloy, Trek has created a pedal body that easily deflects rock strikes and trail impacts without bending or adding unnecessary weight to your drivetrain.
Traction is delivered through strategically placed, moulded-in nylon pins. Unlike sharp metal pins that can tear up your shins and ruin everyday casual shoe soles, these nylon traction treads offer a highly forgiving yet locked-in feel under load. Internally, the pedals are built to go the distance, spinning smoothly on a robust chromoly steel axle supported by dual internal bushings. Whether you are building up a new mountain bike, refreshing an electric bike, or looking for a stable platform on your commuter bike, these pedals offer consistent, all-weather performance.
Key Features
High-Impact Nylon Body: The lightweight composite construction deflects rock strikes and resists trail damage better than traditional alloy options.
Forgiving Nylon Pins: Moulded-in traction pins provide a highly secure, slip-free grip without chewing through your casual shoe soles or shins.
Dual Bushing Spin: A heavy-duty steel axle rotates smoothly on dual internal bushings to ensure long-lasting performance and resistance to dust or mud.
Proven Concave Platform: Designed with a subtle ergonomic dip that keeps your shoe planted firmly over the spindle for maximum power transfer.
Dual Installation Compatibility: Features a versatile spindle design that allows for quick installation using either a 6 mm Allen key or a standard 15 mm pedal spanner.

✅ Why This IS For You
The Multi-Bike Cyclist: Perfect if you need a versatile set of pedals that perform equally well on weekend trail loops and weekday urban commutes.
Casual Shoe Riders: Ideal for riders who prefer wearing everyday skate shoes, runners, or casual work boots rather than dedicated stiff-soled MTB shoes.
Shin Protection Seekers: A brilliant option if you dread the painful "pedal bite" of razor-sharp metal pins but still want a highly confident grip.
Colour Coordinators: Excellent for customizing your ride, as the composite body is available in multiple factory-matched Trek colours to pop against your frame.
E-Bike & Utility Commuters: Great for high-mileage utility riders who want a broad, stable platform to confidently plant their feet in stop-and-go traffic.
❌ Why This May NOT Be For You
Aggressive Downhill Racers: If you are pinning it down wet, high-speed downhill tracks, you may want a premium alloy pedal with aggressive, adjustable metal pins for maximum bite.
Mud-Clogged Trail Fanatics: The solid, lower-profile composite platform can hold onto thick clay mud slightly more than open, ultra-minimalist skeleton frames.
Weight-Weenie Racers: While lightweight for a composite pedal, cross-country racers wanting to shave every possible gram may prefer ultra-thin carbon options.
BFC PRO TIP
When installing your new Trek Line Comp pedals, always double-check the spindle threads near the flats for an "L" (Left) and "R" (Right) stamp. The left-hand pedal is reverse-threaded, meaning you need to turn it counter-clockwise to tighten it. Apply a liberal smear of waterproof bicycle grease to the threads before screwing them into your crank arms. This prevents the metal-on-metal threads from binding over time, making them a breeze to remove later on down the track without risking damage to your crankset!
