VELOTOZE SILICONE SHOE COVER BLACK
The Durable, Easy-Access Solution for Wet Weather.
While the original latex veloToze covers are famous for their aerodynamic "second-skin" fit, the veloToze Silicone Shoe Cover is the more robust, user-friendly evolution designed for everyday training and harsh winter conditions. The key upgrade here is the patented snap-button closure system located under the sole. This eliminates the need to struggle with the traditional "pull-on" method of the latex versions, making them significantly easier to put on and take off—even with cold, wet fingers.
Crafted from a thicker, more durable silicone material, these covers provide superior insulation compared to the standard 2.0 models, performing exceptionally well in temperatures ranging from -5°C to 15°C. The silicone is naturally hydrophobic and windproof, creating a total barrier against road spray and freezing headwinds while maintaining a sleek, aerodynamic profile that doesn't bulk up your footwear.
Key Performance Features
Snap-Button Closure: Features durable snap buttons under the shoe, allowing you to put the cover on after your shoes are already on.This drastically reduces the risk of tearing the material during installation.
Thicker Silicone Construction: Provides enhanced thermal insulation and significantly better durability against the scuffs and abrasions common in gravel or mountain bike riding.
Zipperless & Velcro-Free: The seamless design has no mechanical failure points, ensuring a completely waterproof seal around the ankle and shoe.
Aerodynamic Form-Fitting: Despite being thicker than latex, the silicone remains highly flexible, stretching over dials (like BOA systems) and buckles for a smooth, aero finish.
Generous Cleat Openings: Designed with large, reinforced openings to accommodate most Road, Gravel, and MTB cleat and heel pad configurations.
Highly Packable: Even with the added snaps, these remain compact enough to be folded into a jersey pocket if the weather clears up mid-ride.

✅ Why This IS For You
The Daily Commuter: If you need a reliable, waterproof cover that you can quickly snap on and off without a 5-minute struggle every morning.
Gravel & MTB Riders: The thicker silicone is much more resistant to the abrasive grit and walking required in off-road disciplines compared to thin latex alternatives.
Winter Training Enthusiasts: Ideal for the "Perth Winter" mornings where the temperature dips toward zero; these offer the extra insulation needed to keep toes from going numb.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Pure Time-Trialists: If every millisecond counts, the thinner Standard veloToze 2.0 Latex still offers the absolute lowest aerodynamic drag, though at the cost of durability.
Extremely Wide Shoes: While the silicone is stretchy, those with very high-volume shoes or oversized MTB soles should size up to ensure the snaps can close securely without over-tensioning the material.
BFC Pro Tip
The secret to keeping your feet 100% dry with veloToze is the seal against your skin. Always ensure the top of the shoe cover is tucked underneath your leg warmers or directly against your skin—if the cover is over your socks, water will simply wick down the sock and into your shoe. Since these are silicone, they don't absorb water, so a simple wipe with a damp cloth after a muddy ride is all they need. If they start to feel a bit "sticky" after a few uses, a tiny sprinkle of talcum powder inside will make them slide on even faster!
