The BBB Valve Extender (BTI-99) is a precision-engineered aluminium accessory designed to make your standard inner tubes compatible with high-profile carbon rims. Many performance wheels feature depths of 40mm, 50mm, or more, which often leaves a standard 48mm valve stem hidden inside the rim. These extenders provide the necessary reach to allow for easy inflation and pressure adjustments without needing to hunt for specialized long-valve tubes, which can be harder to find and more expensive.

Unlike "pass-through" extenders that simply screw over the top of a closed valve, the BBB BTI-99 system uses a removable core design.This means you move your tube's actual valve core to the end of the extender. This results in a much more reliable seal and allows you to open and close the valve as if it were a standard length stem, eliminating the common issue of air leaking out during inflation or "rattling" valve nuts inside the rim.

BFC Pro Tip

To ensure a 100% airtight seal, we recommend adding a tiny wrap of plumber’s Teflon (PTFE) tape to the threads of the extender before screwing it into the tube stem. This provides an extra layer of security against slow leaks. When installing, use the provided tool to get the extender "fingertip tight" plus a quarter turn—do not over-torque it, as this can damage the rubber O-ring inside and actually cause the leak you are trying to prevent!
