The Burgh Nexus is a premium, high-performance bar tape designed for riders who prioritize a perfect balance of all-weather grip and long-distance comfort. Inspired by the concept of connectivity, the Nexus features a unique, interlocking linked pattern that is both functional and aesthetically striking. It is built on Burgh’s "Classic" platform, which is renowned for its durability and ease of installation, making it a favorite for both professional mechanics and DIY enthusiasts.
Constructed from an advanced polymer with a 2.5mm thickness, the Nexus provides exceptional vibration damping without feeling overly bulky. One of its standout features is the silicone gel backing, which allows the tape to stay firmly in place while remaining completely residue-free. This means you can re-wrap or remove the tape without the sticky mess associated with traditional adhesives, ensuring your handlebars stay clean and your wrap remains perfectly aligned.
Shock-Absorbing Comfort: The 2.5mm high-density foam effectively damps high-frequency road buzz, reducing hand fatigue and numbness during long endurance or gravel efforts.
All-Weather Grip: The "leather-touch" surface is engineered to remain exceptionally tacky and secure, providing confident handling even when saturated with rain or sweat.
Silicone Gel Backing: Offers a secure, non-slip interface that leaves zero residue on the bars, allowing for easy repositioning during installation and a clean removal later.
Lightweight Performance: At a combined weight of approximately 65g, it adds minimal mass to your cockpit while providing maximum protection and comfort.
Premium Finishing Kit: Each set includes two screw-in end plugs, which are significantly more secure and durable than standard plastic push-in plugs.
Precision Taper: The edges are tapered from 2.5mm down to 1.8mm, ensuring a flush, bulk-free wrap that feels smooth and ergonomic in your hands.

The All-Season Rider: If you ride in varying weather conditions, the "super grippy" surface ensures your hands stay locked in place regardless of the environment.
Clean Build Enthusiasts: Perfect for riders who hate the cleanup process of sticky tape. The silicone backing keeps your bars pristine.
Style-Conscious Cyclists: The intricate Nexus pattern adds a high-end, designer aesthetic to any road, gravel, or commuter bike.
Direct-Feel Racers: If you prefer a very thin tape (1.5mm) for maximum road feedback and a smaller bar diameter, the 2.5mm Nexus might feel slightly too cushioned.
Minimalist Budget Builds: While it offers premium features, it is an investment. If you just need a basic wrap, a standard un-patterned cork tape would be a more economical choice.
The Burgh Classic range is designed with a healthy amount of stretch, which makes it very forgiving to wrap. However, be careful not to overstretch the tape as you go; applying too much tension can compromise the structure of the pattern or cause the edges to thin out prematurely. When finishing at the bar ends, ensure the screw-in plugs are tightened firmly with a 3mm hex key—this prevents them from ever falling out on bumpy terrain and gives your cockpit a truly professional, permanent finish!
