ENDURO 61902 SEALED BEARING ABEC 5 LLU / LLB 15 X 28 X 7
The Versatile High-Precision Workhorse.
The Enduro 61902 ABEC 5 (also commonly referred to as a 6902) is one of the most essential bearing sizes in modern high-performance cycling. Found in everything from premium rear hubs and freehub bodies to bottom brackets and certain suspension pivots, the 61902 is designed to provide a smooth, low-friction interface under both radial and axial loads. By stepping up to the ABEC 5 series, you are choosing a bearing manufactured to much tighter tolerances than standard industrial parts, ensuring a "true" roll and significantly improved durability.
Constructed with 52100 High-Carbon Chromium Steel races and Grade 5 precision balls, this bearing is built to withstand the rigours of the trail and the road alike. The races are vacuum-degassed to ensure the purest alloy possible, which is then hardened to Rockwell HRC 62 for maximum wear resistance. To balance speed with protection, this specific model features a "dual-seal" configuration: an LLU full-contact seal on one side for maximum protection and an LLB medium-contact seal on the other for reduced drag.
Key Features
ABEC 5 Precision Standard: Meets a higher level of roundness and smoothness than standard ABEC 3 bearings, resulting in less noise, lower heat buildup, and a longer lifespan.
Grade 5 Chromium Steel Balls: These high-precision balls are within 5/1,000,000" of being perfectly round, providing an exceptionally smooth feel through the pedals or the wheels.
Dual-Seal Technology (LLU/LLB): Features a robust LLU seal (Grey) on the outward-facing side to block water and grit, and a lighter LLB seal (Black) on the inward side to minimise rotational friction.
Mirror-Polished Races: The 52100 High-Carbon Steel races are polished to a mirror finish, reducing internal friction and preventing the "notchy" feel often found in lower-grade bearings.
Nylon/Graphite Ball Retainers: Uses a high-tech retainer that reduces internal drag and allows the grease to circulate more effectively during high-speed rotation.
Kyodo Yushi PS2 Grease: Factory-packed with premium Japanese synthetic grease, specifically formulated for excellent water washout resistance and a wide operating temperature range.

✅ Why This IS For You
High-End Hub Maintenance: The 61902 is a staple size for DT Swiss, Mavic, and Hope hubs; this ABEC 5 version is the perfect upgrade to restore that "new bike" feel to your wheelset.
Freehub Body Refresh: If your freehub is sounding dry or feeling "crunchy," replacing the internal 6902 bearings with these precision units will optimise your drivetrain efficiency.
Detail-Oriented Mechanics: Ideal for those who want a versatile, high-quality bearing that works equally well in rotating components (hubs) and high-load areas (pivots).
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Standard Utility Repairs: For basic kids' bikes or cruisers where high-speed precision isn't a priority, a more economical Enduro ABEC 3 will do the job perfectly at a lower cost.
Full Suspension Pivot Overhauls: While the 61902 is used in many frames, if your pivot is a "high-load/low-rotation" point, you may want the 61902 MAX version, which has no retainer and 35% more load capacity.
BFC Pro Tip
The Enduro 61902 ABEC 5 is a "directional" bearing due to its LLU/LLB seal configuration. When installing these into a hub, always ensure the Grey (LLU) seal is facing outward toward the elements. This provides the best possible barrier against dust and moisture, while the Black (LLB) seal faces inward to keep the bearing spinning freely with minimal drag. Always use a dedicated bearing press to ensure the outer race is supported during installation—this prevents "brinelling" (permanent denting of the races) and ensures your new bearings stay smooth for thousands of kilometres!
