ENDURO ANGULAR CONTACT STAINLESS STEEL HEADSET BEARING 36 X 45 30.2 X 41 X 6.5
The Enduro Stainless Steel Angular Contact Bearing is a premium steering solution designed for riders who refuse to let the elements dictate their maintenance schedule. This bearing is forged from 440C Stainless Steel, making it completely immune to the rust and pitting that eventually destroys standard chrome steel bearings. Whether your bike is subjected to torrential rain, coastal salt air, or the constant corrosive drip of sweat during indoor trainer sessions, this stainless steel unit maintains a smooth, predictable rotation season after season.
This specialized Angular Contact (ACB) bearing features a 36° internal and 45° external chamfer. This hybrid geometry is engineered to seat perfectly into specific headset standards, providing a rock-solid interface that eliminates "creaking" and front-end play. Measuring 30.2mm x 41mm x 6.5mm, it is a high-precision fit for 1 1/8" steerer tubes, offering a "fit-and-forget" upgrade for integrated and semi-integrated systems where bearing longevity is the highest priority.
Key Performance Features
440C Stainless Steel Construction: Forged and precision-machined for total immunity to corrosion, ensuring your steering won't seize or become "notchy" in high-moisture environments.
36° x 45° Hybrid Geometry: Features a 36-degree internal angle and a 45-degree external angle to match specific manufacturer headset seats for a perfect, play-free fit.
Mirror-Polished Internal Tracks: The stainless steel races are polished to a high-gloss finish, providing a light, responsive, and noise-free steering experience.
Dual-Lip Labyrinth Seals: Equipped with high-contact seals that act as a redundant barrier, locking out road grit and moisture while retaining the essential factory grease.
High-Fill Marine Grease: Factory-packed with a specialized waterproof lubricant that maintains its viscosity and resists wash-out through thousands of steering cycles.
Integrated Longevity: Ideal for modern bikes with hidden cabling, where the difficulty of replacement makes a long-lasting stainless bearing a smart investment.

✅ Why This IS For You
Indoor "Pain Cave" Specialists: If you spend your winters on a stationary trainer, the stainless steel construction is a mechanical necessity to prevent acidic sweat from seizing your headset.
Coastal & All-Weather Riders: Perfect for those who live near the ocean or ride year-round in climates where salt and moisture typically destroy standard bearings within a single season.
Precision Build Perfectionists: Ideal for riders looking for a specific 36°/45° fitment to restore factory-perfect steering feel and silence.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Standard 45° x 45° Headsets: This bearing uses a specific 36-degree internal angle. If your compression ring or crown race is cut for 45 degrees, this will not seat correctly and will cause headset play.
Oversized 1.5" Lower Seats: This is a 30.2mm ID bearing. If you are replacing a lower bearing on a tapered fork, you likely need a larger 40mm ID size.
BFC Pro Tip
The 36° x 45° hybrid angle is a critical measurement—even if the 30.2mm x 41mm dimensions match, the wrong angle will prevent the headset from centering properly. Before installation, use a clean rag to remove all old grit from the frame seats. Even though this bearing is stainless steel, we recommend applying a layer of waterproof assembly grease to the outer chamfers. This provides an additional "hydrostatic seal" to keep water away from the frame and prevents the annoying "creaking" often associated with carbon fiber head tubes!
