ENDURO MR18307 SEALED BEARING 18 X 30 X 7 ABEC 5
The High-Performance Standard for Modern Hubs.
The Enduro MR18307 ABEC-5 is a premium, high-precision bearing engineered specifically for the demanding environment of high-end bicycle hubs. Found frequently in performance wheelsets from brands like DT Swiss, Giant, and Specialized, this 18x30x7mm bearing is designed to handle the high radial and axial loads associated with modern disc-brake cycling. While standard industrial bearings are built for consistent, high-speed rotation, Enduro’s cycling-specific ABEC-5 series is optimized for the lower-RPM, high-torque reality of a bicycle hub.
Featuring Grade 5 Chrome Steel balls and mirror-polished 52100 High-Carbon Steel races, the MR18307 provides an incredibly smooth roll with minimal drag. The "LLB" dual-lip seal design strikes the perfect balance, offering a light-contact seal that protects the internal lubricants from contaminants without significantly increasing rotational friction.
Key Features
ABEC-5 Precision Rating: Engineered to exacting tolerances for roundness and alignment, ensuring a smoother roll and longer life than standard ABEC-3 bearings.
52100 High-Carbon Steel: Both the inner and outer races are made from premium high-carbon steel, vacuum-degassed for the ultimate in purity and fatigue resistance.
LLB Dual-Lip Seals: Features light-contact silicone seals that create a labyrinth-style barrier, keeping grease in and grime out without sacrificing speed.
High-Fill Graphite Grease: Packed with a specialized high-pressure lubricant that resists "wash-out" during cleaning and maintains its viscosity in extreme temperatures.
Nylon Graphite Retainers: Uses a high-tech retainer material that reduces friction and whisper-quiet operation even at high speeds.
Direct Replacement Sizing: Precision-sized at 18mm ID x 30mm OD x 7mm Width, making it the definitive replacement for specific high-end hub internals.

✅ Why This IS For You
Performance Wheel Owners: If you own a high-end wheelset (like DT Swiss 240/350 or certain Roval models) and have noticed a "gritty" feel or side-to-side play in the axle.
Weight & Friction Conscious: Perfect for riders who want the fastest rolling resistance possible from a steel bearing without moving to the much higher price point of ceramics.
Precision-Minded Mechanics: Ideal if you want a bearing with tighter tolerances, ensuring a perfect press-fit that eliminates creaking and premature wear.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Standard Commuter Hubs: For everyday "beater" bikes or entry-level wheels, the ABEC-3 version of this bearing offers excellent durability at a lower cost.
Extreme Mud/Off-Road Use: If you consistently ride in hub-deep mud or use a high-pressure hose to clean your bike, you might consider the "LLU" (Full Contact) seal version for maximum protection, albeit with slightly higher drag.
BFC Pro Tip
The MR18307 is a very specific size often found in modern "big axle" hubs. Because these are precision ABEC-5 components, installation is critical. We always recommend using a dedicated bearing press with the correct 18mm drift; using a hammer and socket can "brinell" the races (denting the polished surface), which will make your brand-new bearing feel gritty immediately. Before pressing, apply a very thin layer of anti-seize or light grease to the hub bore to ensure a smooth, silent fit. Once installed, your wheels should spin with that "forever" feel that only high-quality steel can provide!
