ENDURO SEALED BEARING 18307 ABEC 5 RADIAL 18 X 30 X 7
The Performance Standard for Precision Hubs.
The Enduro 18307 ABEC 5 is a high-performance radial bearing engineered specifically for the high-load, high-RPM environment of premium bicycle hubs. While many "off-the-shelf" industrial bearings are designed for static machinery, Enduro's ABEC 5 series is built to handle the unique lateral and vertical forces of cycling. Featuring a "CN" (Normal) internal clearance, this bearing is designed to press into hub shells with perfect tension, ensuring your wheels spin with minimal drag and maximum smoothness.
At the core of this bearing are high-precision Grade 5 Chromium Steel balls and 52100 High-Carbon Chromium Steel races. These components are polished to a mirror finish, reducing internal friction to an absolute minimum. To ensure longevity in harsh Australian conditions—from coastal salt air to dusty Outback trails—the 18307 is equipped with SRS (Steel Reinforced Silicone) seals, providing a superior barrier against contaminants without the heavy rotational drag found in cheaper alternatives.
Key Features
ABEC 5 Precision Rating: Manufactured to tighter tolerances than standard ABEC 3 bearings, resulting in less vibration, reduced heat, and a longer service life.
Grade 5 Chromium Steel Balls: Features high-precision balls that are within 5/1,000,000" of being perfectly round, ensuring an ultra-smooth rolling feel.
52100 High-Carbon Steel Races: Vacuum-degassed alloy steel is hardened to Rockwell HRC 62 for incredible durability and resistance to "pitting" under heavy loads.
SRS (Steel Reinforced Silicone) Seals: A dual-lip seal design that provides maximum protection against water and grit while maintaining the low-friction performance required for high-speed hubs.
Graphite/Nylon Ball Retainers: Uses a high-tech retainer material that reduces internal friction and allows for a more consistent distribution of grease during high-RPM rotation.
Kyodo Yushi PS2 Grease: Factory-filled with premium Japanese synthetic grease, specifically chosen for its wide temperature range and excellent water washout resistance.

✅ Why This IS For You
Premium Hub Maintenance: The 18307 is a common size for high-end hubs from brands like DT Swiss, Hope, and Industry Nine; this is the ideal "direct replacement" for riders who want to maintain or improve their wheel's performance.
High-Mileage Roadies & Racers: If you demand minimal rolling resistance and want a bearing that stays smooth through a full season of racing and training.
Precision-Focused Riders: Perfect for those who can feel the difference in a high-quality bearing and want to eliminate any "grittiness" from their drivetrain or wheels.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Extreme Budget Builds: If you are just fixing a basic "beater" bike or a kid's bike, a standard Enduro ABEC 3 offers great value at a lower price point.
Full Suspension Pivot Replacement: While this is a radial bearing, pivots often benefit from MAX (Full Complement) bearings which lack a retainer to allow for 35% more load capacity; always check if your frame requires the "MAX" version.
BFC Pro Tip
The Enduro 18307 ABEC 5 is a precision instrument. To get the best results, we strongly recommend using a proper bearing press tool for installation rather than a hammer and socket. Even a slight misalignment during installation can damage the precision-ground races and significantly shorten the bearing's life. When pressing them in, ensure you are only applying pressure to the outer race to avoid putting "side-load" on the balls. Once installed, these bearings are "maintenance-free," but a quick wipe of the external seals after a muddy ride will help keep the SRS seals performing at their best for years!
