ERGON SR ALL ROAD CORE MENS SADDLE
ERGON SR ALLROAD CORE MEN’S SADDLE
Revolutionary Comfort for the Modern Road.
The Ergon SR Allroad Core Men is designed to redefine what is possible on a drop-bar bike. By integrating a full-surface Infinergy® Core between the saddle shell and the padding, Ergon has created a "suspension" system for your sit bones. This high-rebound material—originally developed for world-class running shoes—effectively filters out road buzz and gravel chatter before it reaches your body.
With a men’s specific shape and a deep relief channel, this saddle allows for a smooth, natural pedaling motion while providing the impact protection usually reserved for much heavier touring seats.
Key Features
CORE HD® Technology: Features a high-performance E-TPU core (Infinergy®) that absorbs vibrations and 3D-shocks, allowing the saddle to follow the natural movements of the pelvis.
TwinShell Design: The unique double-shell construction decouples the rider from the bike frame, providing a "floating" sensation that drastically reduces lower back strain.
Men’s Specific Relief Channel: A deep central cutout positioned toward the rear to accommodate the male anatomy and eliminate pressure on sensitive soft tissue.
Orthopedic Comfort Foam: Large-scale, high-rebound padding that provides consistent support and pressure distribution across the entire contact surface.
Friction-Reducing Side Flanks: Specialized material on the edges of the saddle minimizes thigh friction, allowing for a high-cadence stroke without irritation.

✅ Why This IS For You
Gravel & Rough Road Enthusiasts: If your rides frequently take you onto unpaved tracks or "chip-seal" country roads, the Infinergy® core will significantly reduce body fatigue.
Sensitive Lower Backs: The lateral "flex" of the TwinShell system mimics the natural rotation of your hips, making it much easier on your SI joints and lower spine.
Daily High-Mileage Riders: An excellent choice for commuters or endurance riders who need a saddle that remains comfortable from the first kilometer to the hundredth.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Strictly Performance Road Racers: The "Sandwich" construction makes the saddle thicker and heavier than standard racing seats. If you are focused on a minimalist, lightweight setup, this may feel overbuilt.
Narrow Fit Preference: If you have very narrow sit bones and prefer a traditional 130mm saddle, the wider 142mm (S/M) platform may feel too broad between the legs.
Budget-Conscious Builds: The advanced Core technology comes at a higher price point than the standard SR Allroad Men. If you only ride on smooth asphalt, the extra tech may not be a necessary investment.
BFC Pro Tip
Because the Core layer adds significant stack height to the saddle, your riding position will feel much higher than before. Lower your seat post by approximately 5mm to 8mm before your first ride to ensure you don't overextend your hamstrings. We recommend bringing your bike into the shop so we can double-check your leg extension on the trainer!
