ERGON ST TOURING CORE EVO MENS SADDLE
The Gold Standard for Long-Distance Comfort.
If you’ve ever cut a ride short due to saddle pain or numbness, the Ergon ST Core Evo is the upgrade you’ve been waiting for. This isn't just a saddle; it’s a high-tech ergonomic system designed specifically for the male anatomy. By decoupling the top shell from the bottom frame using a "Sandwich" construction, Ergon has created a seat that floats with your natural pedaling motion.
The secret lies in the Infinergy® Core—the same high-rebound material found in premium running shoes—which absorbs vibrations and road shock before they ever reach your sit bones.
Key Features
TwinShell Technology: The dual-shell design allows the upper part of the saddle to move with your pelvis while the lower shell remains rigid for stability and power transfer.
Ergonomic Core (E-TPU): The large-scale Infinergy® core provides a cloud-like dampening effect, drastically reducing pressure on the lower back and sit bones.
Men’s Specific Relief Channel: A deep, rearward-positioned channel designed to eliminate pressure on the sensitive perineal area, preventing numbness during long hours in the upright touring position.
Medical-Grade Gel Padding: Combined with the E-TPU core, the gel pads provide localized support that adapts to your unique shape.
Optimized for an Upright Stance: Specifically shaped for riders who sit in a 45° to 90° touring or commuting position, providing maximum surface area support.

✅ Why This IS For You
Long-Distance Tourers: If you are planning a multi-day trip or a daily 20km+ commute, the vibration dampening will keep you fresh for the final kilometers.
Sensitive Backs/Sit Bones: The "floating" TwinShell design is a game-changer for riders who suffer from lower back pain or chronic saddle sores.
E-Bike Riders: The high-torque nature of E-bikes often means more time sitting firmly in the saddle; the ST Core Evo is built to handle that extra constant pressure.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Aggressive Road Racers: If your handlebar drop is significantly lower than your saddle, this touring shape may be too bulky and impede your inner thigh movement.
Weight Weenies: This is a comfort-first component. At over 400g, it is built for durability and plushness, not for shaving grams off your hill-climb bike.
Dynamic MTB Riding: While great for trekking, mountain bikers who need to get "behind" the saddle on steep descents may find the wider rear platform a bit obstructive.
BFC Pro Tip
Because of the "TwinShell" design, this saddle is slightly taller than a standard one. When you install it, you will likely need to lower your seat post by 3-5mm to maintain your correct leg extension. If you're unsure, bring it into the shop and we can adjust it during a quick "Basic Fit" session!
