The FARSPORTS UFO Disc HGR - Retro is a premium full carbon disc rear wheel engineered to deliver maximum aerodynamic efficiency for time trialists and triathletes. Featuring a distinct retro finish and a fully hollow rim construction, it slices through wind while keeping overall weight minimal.
Designed for ultimate speed, the FARSPORTS UFO Disc Rear Wheel utilises a double-dished aerodynamic structure that minimizes drag far beyond traditional spoked deep-section wheels. The vintage-inspired carbon weave finish combines a striking retro visual profile with cutting-edge composite engineering, giving your race rig a unique aesthetic without compromising technical output.
Constructed with a modern 22mm internal rim width, this tubeless-ready disc wheel integrates seamlessly with wider modern tyres to offer reduced rolling resistance, enhanced cornering stability, and superior ride compliance. Equipped with a smooth FAR hub and a Shimano/SRAM 11/12-speed Hyperglide Road (HGR) freehub body, power transfer is instantaneous.
Whether you are targeting personal bests on flat road time trials or seeking an aerodynamic edge in non-draft triathlon legs, the UFO Disc Wheel delivers uncompromised speed, lightweight responsiveness, and head-turning retro styling.

Tubeless-Ready Rim Profile: Optimised for easy setup with modern clincher or tubeless tyres for reduced rolling resistance.
Shimano/SRAM HGR Freehub: Precision engagement hub body compatible with standard 10, 11, and 12-speed Hyperglide road cassettes.
Rim Internal Width: 22mm
Rim External Width: 28.4mm
Tyre Compatibility: Tubeless / Clincher
Weight: ~925g (Retro Finish)
Hub Body: Hyperglide Road (HGR)
Braking Mechanism: Disc Brake (Center-Lock)
Axle Spacing: 12x142mm Thru-Axle
✅ Pure Aero Focus: Ideal for time trialists and triathletes seeking the ultimate drag-reduction rear wheel.
✅ Standout Aesthetics: Perfect if you want cutting-edge carbon performance paired with a unique retro finish.
✅ Modern Wide Rim Design: Great for running modern 25mm to 28mm tubeless tyres for speed and comfort.
❌ Windy Road Courses: High crosswinds can make a solid disc rear wheel harder to handle on technical courses.
❌ SRAM XDR Users: This specific model features an HGR (Shimano/SRAM HG) freehub body rather than an XDR driver.
❌ General Road Riding: Overspecified and less practical for everyday group rides or steep mountainous climbs.
When mounting a tubeless tyre onto a full disc wheel, install your tubeless valve and seat the bead before inflating with a high-volume pump or CO2 cartridge. Because access to the valve is through a small cutout in the disc face, make sure you use an angled pump adapter (crack pipe adapter) for easy pressure checks on race morning!
