Engineered to handle demanding mountain bike terrain, the IIIPRO IV4 Brake Set provides reliable, confidence-inspiring braking power. Featuring a robust four-piston design, these brakes deliver superior modulation and heat dissipation compared to standard two-piston setups. Each caliper is precision CNC-machined from a magnesium-aluminium alloy, achieving an optimal balance between structural rigidity and low overall weight.
This complete pre-bled brake kit comes setup and ready to install, featuring an 850mm front hose and a 1550mm rear hose suitable for a wide variety of bike frames. The system utilizes mineral oil for consistent lever feel and straightforward long-term maintenance. Designed for versatility across trail, enduro, downhill, and e-bike applications, the calipers are also conveniently compatible with Hope V4/E4 style replacement brake pads for hassle-free pad sourcing.
Four-Piston Hydraulic Performance: Four opposing pistons supply immense clamping force, enhanced modulation, and reduced hand fatigue on long descents.
One-Piece CNC Machined Construction: Crafted from magnesium-aluminium alloy to maximize stiffness and heat dissipation under heavy braking loads.
Wide Pad Compatibility: Calipers are designed to accommodate Hope V4/E4 style brake pads, making replacement pads widely accessible.
Material: Lightweight magnesium-aluminium alloy (CNC machined)
System Type: Hydraulic 4-piston caliper set
Fluid Type: Mineral oil
Hose Lengths: Front 850mm / Rear 1550mm
Weight: Front caliper ~229g / Rear caliper ~241g
Intended Use: XC, Trail, AM, Enduro, DH, and e-MTB
✅ Serious Stopping Power: The four-piston setup provides heavy-duty deceleration ideal for steep descents and heavier e-bikes.
✅ Ready Out of the Box: Comes pre-bled with hoses attached, simplifying home installation and reducing build time.
✅ Lightweight Rigidity: One-piece CNC alloy construction minimizes caliper flex without adding unnecessary bulk to your cockpit setup.
❌ Minimalist XC Racers: Riders focused strictly on saving every gram may prefer dedicated featherweight two-piston cross-country options.
❌ Integrated Internal Cable Routing: Frames with extremely tight internal cable routing ports may require disconnecting and re-bleeding the rear hose during installation.
❌ Non-Standard Hose Length Needs: Extra-large frames or long-travel cargo setups may require longer aftermarket hydraulic hoses than the supplied 1550mm rear line.
After installing your pre-bled IIIPRO IV4 brakes, perform a proper pad bed-in procedure before hitting technical trails. Accelerate to a moderate speed on flat tarmac and apply the brakes firmly down to a walking pace without coming to a complete stop. Repeat this process 10 to 15 times to transfer an even layer of pad material onto the rotors—this maximizes bite and prevents squealing!
