Because these rubber plugs are designed to fit incredibly snugly to keep water out, they can sometimes be stubborn to push fully flush into a tight 6.0mm metal frame port. Rub a tiny drop of liquid isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) around the ribbed neck of the plug before pressing it home. The alcohol acts as a slippery lubricant to slide the plug in effortlessly, and then evaporates completely within minutes, leaving the rubber securely locked and sealed in place without slipping!
