Designed specifically for modern mountain bikes and e-MTBs, the Shotgun Pro EVO transforms off-road family rides by placing your child front and centre. Starting with a 5-point harnessed seat complete with a childproof Fidlock magnetic buckle, it provides maximum security and back support for young toddlers aged 9 to 24 months. As your child grows and gains strength, the harness unit unclips to reveal the active Pro saddle setup, extending the system's lifespan up to age 5.
Because it attaches directly to your steerer tube and seatpost, the seat operates with zero frame contact, making it fully safe for high-end carbon fibre frames and electric mountain bikes with oversized downtubes. Paired with the included Pro Handlebars, your child gets their own set of custom mini grips to hold onto, enhancing balance, engagement, and comfort on the trails.
2-in-1 Convertible Design: Easily transitions from a 5-point harnessed seat (9–24 months) to an active saddle (2–5 years) to grow alongside your child.
Zero Frame Contact: Clamps directly to the headset steerer tube and seatpost, protecting carbon frames and wide e-MTB downtubes.
Pro Handlebars Included: Dedicated mini handlebars with custom rubber grips give your child a secure and comfortable holding position during rides.
Age & Weight Limit: Harnessed setup: 9 to 24 months (up to 15 kg); Pro Seat setup: 2 to 5 years (up to 27 kg).
Bike Compatibility: Fits regular MTBs and e-MTBs with standard 1 1/8" steerer tube, min. 10 mm headset spacer, min. 14 mm seatpost clearance, and front suspension.
Handlebar Compatibility: Fits 31.8 mm and 35 mm handlebar diameters with stems up to 60 mm wide.
✅ Long-Term Value: A single front seat solution that adapts to your child's growth, lasting from 9 months through to 5 years old.
✅ Carbon & E-MTB Friendly: Zero contact with the main frame eliminates risk to delicate carbon tubing or bulky battery tubes.
✅ Interactive Trail Experience: Front position gives your child an uninhibited view of the trail while keeping them central for better bike handling.
❌ Bike Hardware Requirements: Not suitable for rigid forks, gravel bikes, road bikes, or cruisers without front suspension.
❌ Cockpit Clearance Needed: Requires specific headset (10 mm) and seatpost (14 mm) clearance to mount the quick-release spacers.
❌ Not Built For Napping: Lacks a reclined posture or headrest, so it is not suitable for sleep-prone toddlers on long, slow cruiser rides.
Before installing, check that your headset has at least 10 mm of available steerer spacers under the stem. Use the two included headset spacers across two different bikes so you can swap the seat between Mum's and Dad's mountain bikes in under 15 seconds without tools.
