LEBYCLE HYDAULIC HOSE TOOL
The Professional All-in-One Brake Service Solution.
The Lebycle Hydraulic Hose Multi-Tool is a workshop-grade instrument designed to eliminate the guesswork and mess associated with hydraulic brake maintenance. Shortening or installing hydraulic lines is often a daunting task for home mechanics, but this tool simplifies the entire process into two precise steps: a perfectly square cut and a seamless needle (barb) insertion. By combining these functions into a single, compact body, Lebycle has created an essential piece of kit for anyone running modern disc brakes.
What sets the Lebycle apart is its dual-function efficiency. One side of the tool features a razor-sharp, replaceable stainless steel blade for trimming hoses to length, while the other side houses a precision driver for pressing in the olive and needle. Because it uses a mechanical screw-driven or lever-assisted press (depending on the specific model variant), it ensures the needle is seated perfectly straight and fully flush with the hose end—preventing the leaks and "spongy" lever feel caused by crooked, hammer-driven installations.
Key Features
All-in-One Functionality: Combines a precision hose cutter and a needle driver into one handheld unit, saving space in your toolbox.
Clean, Square Cutting: Features a high-quality, V-shaped blade guide that prevents the hose from deforming during the cut, ensuring a 90-degree finish every time.
Universal Compatibility: Designed to work with all major hydraulic brake systems, including Shimano (BH59/BH90), SRAM, Magura, and Hope.
Zero-Leak Insertion: The mechanical driver ensures the needle is pressed in perfectly straight, which is critical for creating a reliable, high-pressure seal with the olive.
Durable Construction: Built with a hardened aluminium alloy body and steel components, offering much higher durability than cheaper plastic alternatives.
Replaceable Cutting Blade: The blade can be easily swapped out once it dulls, ensuring the tool remains a long-term investment for your home workshop.

✅ Why This IS For You
Performance Home Mechanics: If you prefer to service your own brakes and want a "pro-shop" result without the risk of damaging expensive hydraulic lines.
Internal Routing Projects: Essential for anyone building a new bike with internal cable routing, where hoses must be cut and re-terminated after being fed through the frame.
Tool-Box Minimalists: Perfect for those who want to replace multiple separate tools (cutters, blocks, and hammers) with one efficient multi-tool.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Occasional "Emergency" Fixers: If you only plan to trim a hose once every five years, a simple utility knife and a set of yellow plastic blocks in a vice can get the job done (though with more effort).
Steel Braided Hose Users: Like most handheld cutters, this is designed for nylon/plastic hydraulic lines; it is not intended for cutting through steel-braided hoses.
BFC Pro Tip
The secret to a leak-free brake setup is all in the initial cut. When using the Lebycle cutter, make sure the hose is pushed firmly into the V-groove before snapping the blade down; a slight angle on the cut can prevent the olive from seating correctly. When it comes to the needle insertion, do not grease the barb. While it might seem like it helps it slide in, the grease can actually interfere with the "bite" of the hose onto the needle. The Lebycle driver has enough mechanical advantage to press the needle in "dry" with very little effort!
