LEBYCLE D'HAG HANGER TOOL
The Cure for Ghost-Shifting and Misaligned Gears.
The Lebycle D-HAG Hanger Tool is a precision workshop instrument designed to solve the most common cause of poor shifting performance: a bent derailleur hanger. In the world of modern 11 and 12-speed drivetrains, even a millimetre of misalignment can cause "ghost-shifting," noisy gears, and dropped chains. The D-HAG allows you to diagnose and correct these issues with professional accuracy by measuring the hanger's position relative to the rim of the wheel.
Constructed from heavy-duty, CNC-machined aluminium and stainless steel, the D-HAG is built to provide the leverage and stability needed to gently bend hangers back into a perfectly vertical plane. Unlike cheaper, stamped-steel versions, this tool features a high-clearance design that works with almost all frame types, including those with recessed dropouts or oversized thru-axle hardware. It is an essential investment for any rider who wants to maintain a crisp, quiet drivetrain without frequent trips to the local shop.
Key Features
High-Precision Tolerance: Engineered with a sliding measuring rod that features clear O-ring markers to track misalignment across four points of the wheel.
360° Rotating Arm: The long-reach arm rotates freely around the hanger, allowing you to check alignment at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions for total accuracy.
Telescopic Measuring Rod: The inner rod is easily adjustable to suit different wheel sizes (from 20" up to 29"), ensuring it clears the frame and chainstays during rotation.
Replaceable Threaded Tip: Features a hardened steel threaded stud (M10 x 1.0) that threads directly into the derailleur hanger for a rock-solid connection.
Anodised Heavy-Duty Body: The main arm is built from hardened aluminium alloy, providing the necessary stiffness to "tweak" a hanger back into place without the tool flexing.
Rubberised Grip End: Designed for comfort and controlled leverage, ensuring you can apply incremental pressure rather than over-bending the hanger.

✅ Why This IS For You
Modern 12-Speed Riders: If you are running Shimano 12-speed or SRAM Eagle, your shifting tolerance is tiny; this tool is the only way to ensure your gears are indexed perfectly.
Frequent Crashers & Trail Riders: Perfect for mountain bikers who frequently clip their derailleur on rocks or logs; a quick check with the D-HAG after a fall can save a ruined ride.
The Perfectionist Mechanic: Ideal for the rider who hates "ticking" noises and wants their bike to shift with surgical precision every single time.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Carbon Hanger Owners: While rare, some integrated carbon hangers cannot be bent and must be replaced if damaged.
SRAM UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) Users: If your bike uses the newer UDH or T-Type Transmission, these are designed to rotate out of the way or be replaced entirely, though the tool is still useful for checking the initial frame alignment.
BFC Pro Tip
Before you start bending your hanger, always ensure your rear wheel is perfectly true and seated correctly in the dropouts. If the wheel is buckled, your measurements will be off! We recommend starting at the valve stem and using it as your reference point for all four measurements (12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock). When "tweaking" the hanger, use small, gentle movements. Aluminum hangers are stiff and can snap if bent too aggressively—slow and steady wins the race when it comes to perfect indexing!
