Engineered to solve the common noise and alignment issues associated with standard press-fit systems, the TOKEN Ninja Thread-Together Bottom Bracket utilises Fusion technology—a durable composite layer over a rigid aluminium shell—to create an exact, creak-free fit inside your frame.
The thread-together design physically locks the left and right cups together inside the shell. This eliminates cup movement, protects bearings from premature wear caused by misalignment, and increases overall drivetrain stiffness under heavy pedalling loads.
Equipped with TOKEN's high-carbon steel Premium Bearings and patented X-Seals, this bottom bracket keeps water and trail grit out while maintaining ultra-low rotational friction. It is the ultimate upgrade for road, gravel, and mountain bikers seeking smooth, maintenance-free pedalling performance.
Fusion Technology Shell: Combines a composite outer surface for a snug, creak-free frame interface with a rigid alloy core for maximum bearing support.
Thread-Together Locking Design: Left and right cups thread together inside the frame to prevent alignment issues and cup movement.
Patented X-Seal Protection: Dual-lip seals protect the high-carbon steel Premium Bearings against water and grit intrusion with minimal drag.
Frame Interface: BB86 / BB89.5 / BB92 (41mm shell diameter, 86.5mm to 92mm width)
Crank Spindle Compatibility: Shimano 24mm (or SRAM DUB / 24mm depending on variant)
Bearing Type: Premium High-Carbon Steel Bearings
Weight: Approx. 83g to 92g (variant dependent)
✅ Creak-Free Performance: Perfect for riders tired of noisy, creaking traditional press-fit bottom brackets.
✅ Extended Bearing Life: Thread-together alignment prevents uneven bearing wear and premature play.
✅ Easy Servicing: Threads in and out cleanly without harsh hammering tools that can damage expensive carbon frames.
❌ Threaded Frame Owners: Designed specifically for 41mm press-fit shells (BB86/89.5/92) rather than standard BSA threaded frames.
❌ Proprietary Tool Requirement: Requires specific notched bottom bracket installation tools (like TOKEN BB841T-5RSP or Park Tool BBT-69.2).
❌ Ultra-Light Ceramic Seekers: Features durable Premium steel bearings rather than TOKEN's TBT ceramic bearing options.
When installing a thread-together bottom bracket into a carbon frame, apply a light coat of high-quality assembly paste to the outer composite cups and clean grease to the internal connecting threads. Hand-thread the cups together first before using your BB tool to torque it to spec—this ensures the threads align perfectly without binding!
