The Trek RSL Aero Water Bottle and Cage system is the pinnacle of hydration engineering, specifically developed to complement the aerodynamic profile of the Madone Gen 8. By smoothing airflow around the frame, this system has been proven in wind tunnels to be 1.8 watts faster than standard round bottles.

Constructed from premium OCLV Carbon, the cage is incredibly lightweight yet provides a secure grip on the proprietary aero bottle. A standout feature of this system is its versatility; while the bottle is aero-specific, the cage is cleverly designed to accommodate standard 74mm round bottles as well. This ensures you aren't "locked in" to one format during long training rides where you might need to swap bottles at a service station. The bottle itself is made from BPA-free, squeezable material with a high-flow poppet for effortless hydration under pressure.

BFC PRO TIP

To get the most out of the "Era" white and grey aesthetic, give the bottle a quick rinse after every ride. Because the bottle has a matte-adjacent finish, road grime and sports drink residue can show up more easily than on darker bottles. If the cage feels a bit tight when brand new, a tiny drop of silicone spray on the contact points of the bottle will help it glide in and out perfectly while you're at high speed!
