ULAC RADTAIL MAX SADDLE BAG 1.3L
The Versatile Adventure Companion.
The ULAC Radtail Max is a high-capacity saddle bag designed for riders who need more storage than a standard "spare tube" bag but want to avoid the bulk of a full bikepacking seat pack. With a 1.3L capacity, it is perfectly sized for carrying tools, a light jacket, snacks, or even a small camera, making it an ideal choice for long endurance road rides or gravel adventures.
Built using water-resistant materials, the Radtail Max features a streamlined, aerodynamic shape that tucks neatly under the saddle. The bag utilizes a secure three-point attachment system—two straps over the saddle rails and one around the seatpost—to ensure it remains stable and rattle-free, even when navigating rough off-road terrain.
Key Features
1.3L Storage Capacity: Offers significant volume for extended day trips, easily fitting a large multi-tool, two inner tubes, CO2 inflators, and a packable windbreaker.
Water-Resistant Construction: Made from durable, weather-shielding fabrics and a water-repellent zipper to keep your essentials dry during unexpected showers.
Three-Point Attachment: High-strength Velcro straps provide a rock-solid fit that prevents the bag from swaying or rubbing against your thighs while pedaling.
Internal Organization: Features a bright internal lining to help you find small items easily, along with a mesh pocket to keep tire levers or keys separated.
Safety Integration: Includes a dedicated rear light attachment loop and reflective branding to enhance your visibility during low-light conditions.
Universal Fit: Designed to be compatible with almost all standard saddle rail and seatpost configurations, including dropper posts (with a protector).

✅ Why This IS For You
Gravel & Adventure Riders: If you need to carry extra supplies for remote routes where mechanical support isn't available.
Long-Distance Road Cyclists: Perfect for those who dislike stuffing jersey pockets and prefer to keep their heavy tools and spares centered under the saddle.
Commuters: A great "set-and-forget" bag for carrying a lock, a spare tube, and work essentials without needing a backpack.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Minimalist Weight Weenies: If you only carry a single CO2 and a plug kit, a micro-sized bag like the ULAC Mini Radtail would be lighter and more compact.
Extreme Downpour Protection: While water-resistant, it is not "fully waterproof" (submersible). For riding in constant torrential rain, a roll-top dry-bag style seat pack might be safer.
Short Seatpost Clearance: If you have a very small frame with very little exposed seatpost, you should measure to ensure there is enough vertical clearance above the rear tire.
BFC Pro Tip
The 1.3L size is the "Goldilocks" of saddle bags—not too big, not too small. To keep it looking its best, avoid overstuffing the bag to the point where the zipper is under extreme tension, as this can compromise the water-resistant seal. If you are using this on a carbon seatpost, we recommend applying a small piece of clear frame protection tape where the Velcro strap wraps around the post to prevent any micro-scratches from road grit.
