WHEELS MFG HANGER #92
The CNC Upgrade for Iconic Road and Mountain Classics.
The Wheels Mfg Derailleur Hanger #92 is a high-performance, CNC-machined replacement for one of the most widely used hanger designs of the late 2000s and early 2010s. While the original cast hangers provided with many Trek, Gary Fisher, and Klein bikes were prone to bending or "soft" shifting, the #92 is carved from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. This extra rigidity provides a much more stable platform for your derailleur, resulting in crisper gear changes and better resistance to the minor knocks of daily riding.
Manufactured in Colorado, USA, this hanger is a "1-bolt" style that features a distinctive rounded top and a single mounting hole. Because it is machined to much tighter tolerances than standard cast parts, it is a favorite for mechanics looking to restore the "factory-fresh" shifting feel to classic carbon and alloy frames that have seen years of service.
Key Features
CNC Machined 6061-T6 Aluminum: Significantly stiffer than original cast hangers, which is crucial for maintaining precise indexing on 10, 11, and 12-speed drivetrains.
Corrosion-Resistant Black Anodised Finish: Unlike painted hangers, the anodised surface won't chip or flake, keeping your dropout area looking clean.
Single-Bolt Interface: Attaches to the frame using a single M8 Chainring-style Bolt (included), making installation straightforward.
Superior Alignment: Machined to exact workshop tolerances, ensuring your derailleur sits perfectly parallel to your cassette cogs.
Made in the USA: Produced in Wheels Manufacturing’s Colorado facility to professional-grade standards.
