WOLFTOOTH DEL GRAVEL PEDALS PURPLE
The Wolf Tooth DEL Gravel Race Clipless Pedals bring premium CNC-machined precision to high-performance gravel racing and endurance riding. Proudly machined in Minnesota, USA, from high-grade 6061-T6 aluminum, these single-sided pedals redefine off-road efficiency. By shedding the unnecessary weight and bulk of dual-sided mechanisms, the DEL achieves an incredibly low weight of just 216g per pair and an ultra-thin profile of 14.7mm. The expansive 559mm² contact area ensures an incredibly stable, unyielding shoe-to-pedal interface that feels akin to a high-end road pedal, minimizing hot spots and maximizing every ounce of power transfer.
Engineered specifically for the unpredictable nature of gravel racing, the DEL utilizes an entirely open center configuration within its stainless steel binding cages, ensuring mud, clay, and trail grit are instantly evacuated when you step into the pedal. Internally, the design relies on a bulletproof heat-treated 17-4 PH stainless steel spindle rolling on three high-precision sealed bearings and an Igus bushing, borrowed directly from Wolf Tooth’s legendary mountain bike line. A hallmark of Wolf Tooth's engineering is the customizable Q-factor; by simply rearranging the internal bearings and spacers at home, the stance width can be shifted between 51mm, 55mm, and 59mm, allowing you to perfectly align your biomechanics to fight off joint fatigue over punishing multi-hour corrugated loops.
Key Features

✅ Why This IS For You
Gravel Racers & Weight Weenies: Perfect if you are counting every gram on your race rig but refuse to sacrifice platform stability and power delivery.
Riders with Knee or Hip Issues: The adjustable Q-factor is a game-changer, allowing you to micro-adjust your stance width to prevent joint strain.
Custom Builders: Ideal if you love color-coordinating your bike, matching flawlessly with purple headsets, seatpost clamps, or center lock rotor rings.
Bike Packing Adventurers: Built with premium stainless steel axles and quad-sealed bearings to survive long, gritty expeditions in remote terrain.
Long-Distance Cyclists: The oversized platform provides extensive foot support, significantly reducing under-foot pressure and hot spots over 100km+ routes.
❌ Why This May NOT Be For You
Cyclocross & Aggressive Trail Riders: Being a single-sided pedal, you have to flick the pedal to face upwards to clip in, which can be awkward during frantic cyclocross mounts.
Flat Pedal Devotees: These are dedicated clipless pedals requiring a specialized 2-bolt SPD cycling shoe; they cannot be ridden safely with flat-soled streetwear shoes.
Budget-Minded Upgraders: Machined entirely in the USA with ultra-premium metals, they sit at a premium investment point compared to basic mass-produced pedals.
BFC Pro Tip
Because the DEL is a premium one-sided pedal, it is counterweighted to naturally hang at an angle that allows your shoe's toe box to catch the front edge and flip it level as you step forward. When installing them for the first time, apply a thin layer of high-pressure waterproof grease to the stainless steel spindle threads, and double-check your shoe's cleat clearance. If your shoe's rubber lugs press firmly against the aluminum platform, use one of the included Wolf Tooth cleat shims under the cleat—this guarantees crisp, instantaneous entry and exit while preserving that rock-solid road-like connection!
