The ABUS Bordo 6000C (Combo) is a premium folding lock that bridges the gap between the high security of a U-lock and the flexibility of a chain. Part of the legendary Bordo family, the 6000C replaces the traditional key cylinder with a four-digit resettable combination dial. This makes it the ultimate choice for families, shared bikes, or riders who simply want to eliminate "key anxiety" from their daily commute.
Constructed from 5mm hardened steel bars linked with specialized reinforced rivets, the Bordo 6100C offers a high level of protection against "brute force" attacks like bolt cutters and saws. The 90cm length provides ample reach to secure your frame and wheel to a variety of fixed objects—from standard bike racks to thicker street poles—while folding down into a compact, rattle-free bracket that mounts directly to your frame's bottle cage bosses.
5mm Hardened Steel Bars: Specially developed steel bars offer high resistance to cutting and gripping attacks, providing an ABUS Security Level 10/15.
Resettable 4-Digit Combination: Allows you to set your own personalized code, making it easy to remember and perfect for multi-user access without swapping keys.
Two-Component Digits: The numbers aren't just printed on; they are molded from two different plastics to ensure the digits never fade or rub off after years of use in the sun and rain.
Soft-Touch Coating: The bars are encased in a non-marring synthetic coating to protect your bike’s paintwork from scratches and dings during locking.
SH Mounting Bracket Included: Features a "front-access" bracket that allows for easy removal even on small frames or E-bikes with limited space.
Link Construction: The folding design offers compact transport dimensions, fitting neatly into a space not much larger than a standard water bottle.

The "Key-Free" Commuter: If you are prone to losing keys or just want the convenience of a code-based system for quick stops at the café or grocery store.
Shared Bike Users: Ideal for households where multiple people use the same bike or lock; no need to keep track of who has the spare key.
Compact Storage Seekers: Perfect for riders who hate the bulk of a U-lock or the weight of a heavy chain but still want serious theft protection.
High-Risk Overnight Parking: While Level 10 is very strong for daytime use, if you are locking a high-value E-bike overnight in a high-theft area (like certain CBD hotspots), the ABUS Bordo 6500 Granit offers a higher Level 15 protection.
Weight-Absolute Minimalists: At over 1kg, this is a substantial piece of hardware. For ultra-lightweight road bikes, a smaller cable or lightweight folding lock might be preferred for "coffee stops" only.
When setting your combination for the first time, make sure the dials are perfectly aligned with the indicator mark. We recommend registering your code or taking a photo of it on your phone immediately! Also, because folding locks have multiple pivot points, a tiny drop of dry chain lube or silicone spray on the rivets once a year will keep the folding action buttery smooth. If you find the bracket "rattles" on rough Perth roads, simply tighten the Velcro straps or use the included bolts on your bottle cage mounts for a rock-solid, silent fit.
