ECLAT FIREBALL TYRE 20 X 2.30
Built for the Streets.
The Eclat Fireball is the signature tire of street powerhouse Ty Morrow, designed specifically to handle the brutal impacts of high-level street riding. Since its debut, it has become one of the most trusted tires in BMX, known for its ability to balance high-speed stability with the "grip and slip" required for technical grind combinations.
The 2.30" width provides a large contact patch for landing stability while maintaining a profile that fits comfortably in most modern street frames and forks.
Key Features
High-Pressure Construction: Rated for up to 100 PSI, allowing for a fast-rolling feel and preventing "tire squirm" during heavy side-loads or carvings.
Pangolin Sidewall Layer: Features an integrated nylon reinforcement layer that protects the sidewall from snags and tears during grinds, significantly extending the tire's life.
Cobweb Puncture Protection: A specialized interior layer that acts as a shield against thorns, glass, and debris, making it a reliable choice for gritty urban environments.
Low-Profile Directional Tread: The tread pattern is designed to be fast on smooth concrete while providing enough "bite" on the edges for confidence in corners.
Signature Compound: Uses a proprietary rubber blend that is soft enough to grip walls and transitions, but hard enough to slide predictably during crank-arm or pedal grinds.

✅ Why This IS For You
Dedicated Street Riders: If you spend your time hunting for ledges, rails, and wallrides, the sidewall protection and high-pressure casing are industry essentials.
Heavy Landers: The 2.30" volume provides a great "cushion" for high-impact drops, reducing the risk of rim damage and wrist fatigue.
Ty Morrow Fans: Designed to the exact specifications of one of the most technical street riders in the world—if it works for Ty, it works for anyone.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Park/Transition Specialists: At 735g, there are lighter, thinner tires available if your primary focus is air-time and technical lip tricks where rotational weight is a priority.
Dirt/Trail Riders: The tread is optimized for hard surfaces like concrete and wood; it will lack the necessary "dig" for loose dirt or dusty trails.
Older Frames: While 2.30" is standard now, some older or "vintage" BMX frames may have chainstay clearance issues with a tire of this width.
BFC Pro Tip
The Fireball is a "high-volume" 2.30, meaning it often sits a bit wider once fully seated at 100 PSI. If you find the tire is rubbing your brake mounts or chainstays, try dropping the pressure to 60-70 PSI first. This will slightly narrow the profile and also provide a much "stickier" feel for wallrides and technical balancing.
