ENDURO 6903 ABEC 3 SEALED BEARING 17 X 30 X 7
The Enduro 6903 ABEC 3 is a high-quality radial bearing that serves as a cornerstone for modern bicycle performance. Measuring 17mm x 26mm x 7mm (often referred to by the code 61903), this size is a common standard for rear hub shells and high-end bottom bracket systems. While many generic bearings struggle with the high-torque loads of pedaling and the lateral forces of cornering, the Enduro ABEC 3 series is engineered specifically for the cycling environment, prioritizing a balance of low rolling resistance and long-term durability.
This bearing features LLB (Light Contact, Linear Lip) seals, which are widely considered the gold standard for performance cycling. The dual-lip design creates a labyrinthian barrier that effectively keeps road grit, moisture, and degreasers away from the internal races, while the light contact ensures that the bearing remains "fast" with minimal rotational drag. Whether you are rebuilding a high-performance hub or refreshing a bottom bracket, the 6903 is a "mechanic’s choice" for reliable, friction-free rotation.
Key Performance Features
52100 High-Carbon Chromium Steel: The races are vacuum-degassed to ensure the highest purity, providing a harder, smoother surface that resists pitting and "brinelling" under heavy loads.
Grade 10 Precision Balls: Features high-precision balls that are spherical within 10/1,000,000", ensuring perfectly even load distribution and reducing internal vibration.
LLB Dual-Lip Seals: A sophisticated sealing system that provides superior protection against the elements without the parasitic drag of "full contact" industrial seals.
7mm Width Advantage: The 7mm width allows for deeper races and larger balls compared to slimmer 6800-series bearings, offering increased stability and a higher static load rating.
High-Pressure Marine Grease: Factory-packed with specialized waterproof lubricant designed to stay in place even after repeated cleanings or wet-weather riding.
ABEC 3 Precision Rating: Manufactured to strict tolerances for roundness and smoothness, exceeding the quality of standard OEM bearings found in many mid-range components.

✅ Why This IS For You
Rear Hub Maintenance: This is a very common bearing size for modern rear hub shells. If your wheel has developed "play" or feels gritty, this is the precision fix.
Specialized Bottom Brackets: Many high-end BB systems utilize the 6903 size, providing a smooth and stable interface for your crankset.
Performance Upgraders: A cost-effective way to improve the rolling efficiency of your bike by replacing standard industrial bearings with high-tolerance ABEC 3 units.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Extreme Corrosive Conditions: If you frequently ride in salt-heavy environments or power-wash your bike, you may prefer the Enduro 6903 Stainless Steel version for ultimate rust protection.
Standard 17mm x 26mm Hubs: Ensure your outer diameter is 30mm. Some hubs use the smaller 6803 (26mm OD) size. This 30mm bearing will not fit if your hub was designed for the narrower 6803.
BFC Pro Tip
The 17mm internal diameter makes this a very common bearing for rear axles. When installing, always use a bearing press with a 17mm drift that contacts the outer race when pressing into a hub shell. Applying pressure to the inner race during installation can "side-load" the balls and damage the polished tracks before you even take your first ride. For a perfectly silent hub, we recommend a tiny drop of retaining compound (like Loctite 641) on the outer race to ensure the bearing stays perfectly seated and won't creak under heavy cornering loads.
