The EVOC Bike Rack Cover Road is the ultimate solution for cyclists who want to arrive at their destination with a pristine bike. When transporting a road bike on a rear-mounted hitch or boot rack, it is constantly exposed to "road spray"—a mix of oil, salt, and dirt kicked up by your car's tyres. This cover acts as a durable barrier, specifically tailored for the unique geometry of road bikes with drop handlebars.
Constructed from high-quality, water-repellent polyamide, the cover is both lightweight and incredibly tough. It features integrated tensioning straps that allow you to pull the material taut against the bike's contours, preventing the "parachute effect" and flapping at high speeds. This not only protects your paintwork from strap rub but also ensures your car’s tail lights and number plate remain visible, complying with road safety standards. Whether you are driving through a coastal storm or across dusty inland highways, your bike remains shielded from the elements and damaging UV rays.
Road-Specific Tailoring: Cut specifically to fit the narrow profile of road bikes with drop bars, ensuring a snug, aerodynamic fit.
Weather & UV Protection: Made from durable, water-repellent material that blocks rain, snow, dirt, and sun damage.
Integrated Tensioning Straps: Internal and external straps allow you to customise the fit to your specific frame size, minimising wind resistance.
Rear-Rack Compatible: Specifically designed for use with hitch-mounted or boot-mounted racks (not for roof rack use).
Easy Maintenance: The smooth polyamide surface can be quickly cleaned with warm water and a sponge after a messy road trip.
Stowage Bag Included: Comes with a compact storage bag to keep the cover tidy when it’s not protecting your ride.

The Clean Freak: You spent a lot on your drivetrain and bar tape; this keeps them factory-fresh despite 100km/h road spray.
Long-Distance Traveler: Ideal for interstate trips or holidays where your bike will be on the back of the car for several hours.
Carbon Frame Owner: Protects your expensive carbon finish from stone chips and abrasive road grit during transit.
Open-Air Storage: If you occasionally leave your bike on the rack while parked outside, the UV protection prevents component fading.
Roof Rack Users: This cover is not suitable for roof-mounted racks as the wind drag at height can compromise vehicle stability.
Mountain Bikers: The narrow cut is designed for road bars; for wider flat bars, the EVOC MTB-specific cover is required.
Short-Trip Commuters: If you're only driving five minutes to a local group ride, the setup time may outweigh the benefits.
Before fitting the cover, ensure your bike is completely dry, especially the chain and cassette. If you trap moisture inside the cover on a warm day, it can create a humid "greenhouse" effect which may lead to surface oxidation on steel bolts or chain links. For the best result, give your chain a fresh wipe of lube before covering it up for a long trip—it acts as an extra layer of protection against any humidity!
