FORM BIKE FITTING MTB / SPD SINGLE KIT
The FORM Bike Fitting MTB / SPD Walkable V2 Leg Length Shim Single Kit is a premium 2-hole cleat modification system designed to correct leg length discrepancies, stabilise the pelvis, and eliminate joint pain during seated pedalling.
The FORM Bike Fitting V2 MTB / SPD Leg Length Shim Single Kit is a highly engineered, bio-mechanical problem solver for cyclists dealing with a structural or functional leg length discrepancy. Unlike traditional off-road shims that create an unstable, slippery surface under your shoe, this innovative kit features a patented "walkable" design. It integrates two parallel tread areas that wrap around your 2-hole cleat, mirroring the height of your shoe's native sole to protect the cleat from wear and drastically improve stability when walking off the bike.
The modular architecture of the V2 kit allows for incredibly precise adjustments. The base kit features a 3mm main body constructed from high-durability plastic, which can be expanded up to 6mm using the included 1mm spacer and 2mm stacker. By raising the cleat on your shorter leg, it creates equal leg extension through the bottom of the pedal stroke, stabilizing your pelvis to stop rocking and significantly reducing chronic lower back, hip, or knee pain.
To ensure clean and immediate entry into your pedals, the front of the shim features chamfered feet that naturally glide into your pedal mechanism. Each single kit comes complete with a dedicated steel cleat plate featuring interlocking internal fins that prevent the assembly from twisting or warping under high torque. Tailored for mountain biking, gravel grinding, and commuting, this kit restores structural balance to your pedal stroke.
Key Features
Patented Walkable Architecture: Features two parallel side tread pontoons that match the height of your shoe's lugs, creating a safe walking surface while protecting the cleat from damage.
Modular Height Stack: Dynamic adjustment system provides a base height of 3mm that can be quickly stacked up to 4mm, 5mm, or 6mm using the included interlocking shims.
Chamfered Engagement Feet: The front edge of the shim is specifically angled to prevent catching on the pedal body, facilitating easy, smooth clip-in action.

Base Stack Height Range: 3 mm to 6 mm (Expandable up to 14 mm with optional extra stacker kits)
Included Hardware: 3mm Main Body, Cleat Plate, 1mm Spacer, 2mm Stacker, and extended Torx T25 engagement screws
Why This IS For You
✅ Corrects Pelvic Rocking: Perfect for riders with a known leg length discrepancy who experience lower back or hip discomfort caused by reaching for the pedal at the bottom of the stroke.
✅ Safe Off-Bike Walking: Ideal for gravel riders, cyclocross racers, and commuters who frequently need to dismount and walk on rough terrain without ruining their cleats.
✅ Anti-Warping Cleat Plate: Great because the premium steel plate utilizes internal alignment fins that lock tightly into the main body, preventing the plastic from bending when torqued down.
Why This May NOT Be For You
❌ Single Shoe Only: This is packaged as a Single Kit for one shoe; if you require matching stack adjustments on both feet for a high bottom-bracket setup, you will need to purchase two kits.
❌ Requires Specific Tool: The included extended high-tensile cleat screws feature specialized Torx T25 heads, meaning you cannot install or adjust them using a standard metric hex key.
❌ Not for Deep Mud Clearing: While excellent for walking on firm soil and gravel, the tight tolerances around the cleat pontoons can occasionally pack with thick clay or mud on extreme trail rides.
BFC PRO TIP
When assembling your new FORM walkable shim, take extra care to line up the three long structural fins on the steel cleat plate with the matching slots molded into the plastic main body. They must sit completely flush before you start tightening. If you tighten the extended Torx screws while the fins are misaligned, the steel plate will warp and ruin the shim. Apply a light layer of grease to the screw threads, torque them to 5 N·m, and enjoy a perfectly stable, pain-free connection to your machine!
