FOX PROFRAME RS MHDRN VINTWHT MEDIUM (55-59CM)
The "Race Spec" Evolution of Lightweight Full-Face Protection.
The Fox Proframe RS in the "MHDRN" (Modern) Vintage White colorway is the high-performance evolution of the original Proframe. While the classic Proframe pioneered the "breathable full-face" category, the RS (Race Spec) model takes fit and safety to a significantly higher level. This helmet is designed for Enduro World Series (EWS) racers and aggressive trail riders who need the confidence of a DH-certified chin bar but require the airflow of an open-face helmet for long, grueling climbs in the heat.
The standout technical upgrade is the BOA® Fit System, a first for Fox full-face helmets. This allows for a 360-degree micro-adjustable fit, solving the "polarizing" fit issues of the original model where riders had to rely solely on swapping cheek pads. Finished in a clean, off-white "Vintage White" with modern graphic accents, it offers a high-end aesthetic that stands out on the trails of the Perth Hills or the tight singletrack of Margaret River.
Key Performance Technologies
MIPS® Integra Split Protection: A cutting-edge safety system that uses a "split" dual-density foam design (EPS for high-speed and EPP for low-speed impacts) with a low-friction layer in between to reduce rotational forces during a crash.
BOA® Fit System: Replaces traditional static padding with a dial-actuated retention cradle, ensuring the helmet stays perfectly stable in rough rock gardens without needing to "squeeze" your face.
3-Position Adjustable Visor: Unlike the fixed visor on the standard Proframe, the RS visor can be moved to accommodate goggles in the "parked" position.
Fidlock® Magnetic Buckle: Allows for one-handed operation even while wearing heavy downhill gloves, making it incredibly easy to take on and off during transition stages.
Ionic+® Anti-Microbial Liner: A plush, moisture-wicking liner that prevents the buildup of odor-causing bacteria—essential for those dusty, high-intensity summer rides.
DH Certified (ASTM F1952): Despite its light weight, it meets the highest international standards for downhill racing safety.

✅ Why This IS For You
The Enduro Racer: If you spend all day in the saddle and need a helmet that breathes on the climbs but offers full-face security on the timed descents.
Riders with "Hard to Fit" Heads: The BOA system makes this the most adaptable full-face on the market; if you've struggled with helmets feeling loose at the crown or tight at the jaw, this is the fix.
Style-Conscious Shredders: The Vintage White MHDRN finish is a sophisticated look that pairs perfectly with modern gravel/enduro apparel.
❌ Why This May NOT be for you
Pure Park/DH Specialists: If you only ride lift-accessed bike parks and never pedal up, a dedicated heavy-duty helmet like the Fox Rampage Pro Carbon offers more "heft" and sound-damping padding.
Weight-Absolute Minimalists: At ~820g, it is slightly heavier than the original Proframe (~750g) due to the added BOA hardware and adjustable visor mechanism.
BFC Pro Tip
The Proframe RS runs slightly larger than the original Proframe due to the BOA cradle. If you are right on the edge of the size chart (e.g., 58cm), we recommend trying the Medium first; the BOA system allows you to back the retention off for a perfect fit rather than "swimming" in a Large. Also, the helmet comes with a removable under-visor GoPro mount in the box—don't throw out the spare parts bag! When mounting your goggles, the 3-position visor has a specific "lock down" screw; make sure this is snug to prevent the visor from rattling on high-speed sections.
