The REDSHIFT Mousetrap Pedal Adapters in Black eliminate the hassle of swapping out pedals whenever you want to ride your bike in street shoes. Molded from glass-reinforced nylon composite, these adapters snap directly into standard 2-bolt SPD-style clipless mechanisms to create a wide, stable, and high-traction flat pedal surface instantly.
Designed with a low-profile 10mm thickness, the Mousetraps sit level with the top of your pedal mechanism, meaning your saddle height remains completely unchanged when switching between clipless shoes and everyday sneakers. They lock firmly into place to prevent accidental release during pedalling, yet remove effortlessly by hand without requiring any tools.
When removed from your pedals, integrated magnets clip the pair together into a neat, compact package that slips easily into a pocket or frame bag. Whether you run one per pedal for a dual-sided hybrid configuration or two pairs for a complete flat platform, the Mousetrap adapters offer ultimate versatility for your daily rides.
Tool-Free Conversion: Instantly snaps into or releases from SPD pedal mechanisms completely by hand with no tools required.
Ultra-Durable Composite Construction: Crafted from high-strength, glass-filled nylon—the same rugged composite material used in premium mountain bike flat pedals.
Integrated Storage Magnets: Features embedded magnets that snap the pair together for neat, pocket-sized storage on the go.
Dimensions: 80mm x 105mm x 10mm
Weight: 176g per pair
Compatibility: 2-Bolt SPD-style clipless pedals
✅ Multi-Purpose Versatility: Perfect if you want to use your performance road, gravel, or mountain bike for quick urban commutes in everyday shoes.
✅ Pocket-Friendly Storage: Compact magnetic design lets you stash them in a jersey pocket or bag without loose pieces clanking around.
✅ Seamless Ergonomics: The 10mm low-profile build keeps your foot position natural without needing to adjust your seatpost height.
❌ Road Clipless Users: Designed specifically for 2-bolt SPD mechanisms; not compatible with 3-bolt SPD-SL or Look Keo road pedals.
❌ Aggressive Downhill Riding: Ideal for casual commuting and urban riding rather than technical mountain biking or high-impact jumping.
❌ Fixed Flat-Pedal Seekers: If you never use clipless shoes, a permanent set of dedicated flat platform pedals is a better option.
If you frequently switch between clipless and casual riding on the same commute, keep one adapter installed on the underside of each dual-sided SPD pedal. This gives you an instant "flip-flop" hybrid pedal setup so you can clip in with your cycling shoes or step on with sneakers without taking anything off!
