Engineered specifically to solve the common creaking issues associated with standard press-fit shells, the TOKEN Ninja Lite BB BB86/92 Shimano features a lightweight composite shell paired with a thread-together design. By threading the left and right cups together inside your frame's bottom bracket shell, it ensures perfect bearing alignment, eliminating cup movement and preventing premature bearing wear.
Featuring TOKEN's Compression Relief Design, the outer surface incorporates precision grooves that absorb minor frame tolerances for a snug, noise-free fit. High-grade sealed bearings paired with dual-lip X-Seals provide smooth rotational efficiency while protecting against water, mud, and road grime. It is the ultimate lightweight upgrade for road and mountain bikers running 24mm Shimano cranksets on press-fit frames.
Thread-Together Design: Interlocking left and right cups maintain absolute parallel bearing alignment to eliminate creaks and increase stiffness.
Compression Relief Shell: Engineered outer grooves absorb frame bore variations, holding grease for a creak-free interface.
X-Seal Technology: Dual-lip seals protect the high-precision bearings against dirt and moisture with minimal friction.
Frame Interface: BB86 / BB89.5 / BB92 (41mm shell diameter, 86.5mm–92mm width)
Crankset Spindle Compatibility: Shimano 24mm Hollowtech II
Material: Fibre-Reinforced Composite Shell with High-Carbon Steel Bearings
Weight: 83g
✅ Creak-Free Riding: Permanently fixes creaks and clicks common in press-fit carbon and alloy frames. ✅ Lightweight Efficiency: Offers the structural benefits of a threaded bottom bracket at a fraction of the weight.
✅ Smooth Power Transfer: Keeps bearings perfectly aligned for maximum efficiency under heavy pedalling loads.
❌ Threaded Shell Frames: Fits 41mm press-fit frames only; not compatible with standard BSA threaded shells.
❌ 30mm or DUB Cranks: Engineered strictly for 24mm Shimano spindles rather than 30mm or SRAM DUB cranks.
❌ Full Metal Shell Seekers: Utilises a lightweight composite shell rather than the full alloy body found on standard Ninja models.
When installing the Ninja Lite bottom bracket, use a small amount of assembly grease on the frame contact surfaces and internal threads. Be sure to use the correct 16-notch bottom bracket tool to thread the cups together smoothly to prevent damaging the composite tool splines!
If you like, I can pull together compatible installation tools, bottom bracket grease, or 24mm Shimano cranksets to complete your drivetrain installation. Do you want me to do that?
