Crafted in Minneapolis, USA, from 7075-T6 aluminum, this axle is designed for maximum stiffness. Its standout technical feature is the captive steel washer located under the head. This washer reduces friction against the fork leg during installation, ensuring that more of your tightening torque is converted into actual clamping force rather than being lost to friction. This results in a stiffer interface and prevents the axle from "galling" or sticking when it comes time for removal.
